Helicoprion breaching through the waves at the surface of the ocean.
Helicoprion is an extinct genus of shark-like whorl-toothed ratfish. They first arose in the oceans of the Late Carboniferous, approximately 280 million years ago and eventually went extinct during the Early Triassic, about 225 million years ago.
